It's Time For...

This Loving rendition of Jonathan Richman from the cover of It's Time For...(1986) was made by Sam McKiniss (2009). Here are two songs from this hard to find album. The first is It's For You. The Mighty Mighty Boss-teens probably ironed their suits to it for a decade.

Ben was saying that Jonathan Richman Loves the Modern world- but I dunno. For the song, Roadrunner, that whole first album and the name of the bad, yes. But in every since Jonathan loved highways, and fast machines and super markets and neon moonlight and mass communications (big ups Boston radio)... he's been shunning the modern world. New fans that find Roadrunner and follow his career will find that his Modern Love dries, as early as 1963 (see poem from Having a Party). His nostalgia for modern ruins are charming, but I do wish he still loved the modern world.
